It’s called the Best in the West basketball tournament. And it’s not easy.
Didn’t Larry Bird say, “You never make any of the shots you never take”? Isn’t that the point? Here’s to those who dared to take a shot and the fine coach who took them there…

A day at the beach? Not so fast. Riding those waves is a lot harder than it looks. But as a local told us rookies, “The best surfer out there is the one having the most fun!” Aloha!

OK, I played a little bit, a lifetime time ago, in a humble-no-where gym (altho Joe Harris might disagree!) but it gets under your skin. Put aside the Rick-Reilly-described-hype and delusional-nonsense to see the pure ability and heart of the game. It reveals itself on the court in the most subtle of moments and on the bench in mindful spirit. Here’s to passion and leaving it all on the court!
